Dear HLAA Supporter,

You might find yourself “between two worlds” – that’s the way Rocky Stone described it 40 years ago and what led him to start this organization. He believed that with technology people with hearing loss could stay in the hearing world. Does this describe you?

Hearing technology – everyone has their favorite gadget, whether it's their trusty hearing aids and/or cochlear implant; hearing-aid-compatible cellphone or captioned telephone; or personal microphone in a noisy restaurant. HLAA has been here for four decades advocating on behalf of you, the individual with hearing loss.

We will continue to work on issues such as Medicare coverage for hearing aids. No doubt Medicare will be more of a marathon than a sprint, but we hope we can count on you to support our efforts.

Read my appeal letter. If you’ve already donated to this specific appeal, thank you. You will hear from me personally with a letter.

With appreciation,

Barbara Kelley
Executive Director
