A special message to you from Barbara Kelley
Giving Challenge Drive - Help us to succeed for those in need.

Dear members and friends of HLAA,

Today, HLAA is launching a special fundraising drive – the HLAA Giving Challenge -- to help us continue to support people with hearing loss and to ensure a strong future for our organization.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we have done everything we could to keep our community together and thriving. We quickly adapted our programs online, took the Walk4Hearing virtual, and developed a host of resources to help people with hearing loss navigate new challenges.

I am so proud of our work, and the commitment of our Board of Directors, state and chapter leaders, and Walk4Hearing committees – all volunteers – who worked side by side with staff to continue our mission through difficult times. I am also grateful to our sponsors, who stuck with us, and helped us to keep our community connected and informed.

We weathered the initial storm. But now we need your help.

Beginning today, November 6, HLAA is launching an urgent appeal. Our aim is to raise $500,000 by December 31.

This Giving Challenge calls on everyone in our community to make a gift to HLAA, and to dig a little deeper to give what you can to help reach our goal.

Please visit hearingloss.org/givingchallenge to learn more about the HLAA Giving Challenge. The funds we raise will help sustain, evolve, and grow our community – and our organization – so we can meet the changing demands of today’s world.

We are asking you, as a friend and a member of HLAA’s community, to join the Challenge. Here’s how you can help get this fundraising drive off to a great start:

  1. Donate online or send your gift today.
  2. Spread the word about the HLAA Giving Challenge to your friends and colleagues.

Please feel free to contact me or our development director, Marilyn DiGiacobbe, at
mdigiacobbe@hearingloss.org with your questions or if you need help making a gift.

Together, we can build a strong future for ourselves and our community.

Let’s do this!

Barbara Kelley
