Don Doherty at Arlington National Cemetery

For me, HLAA was a godsend. I had spent a great deal of time researching hearing loss and knew a lot about its causes and effects but found very little that was personally applicable to the problems I was experiencing. I have been part of the HLAA support system that has never let me down. We frequently hear from people that they wish they had heard about HLAA sooner. Now, my motivation with HLAA is to give back and help others with their hearing loss.

– Don Doherty, chairperson, HLAA Board of Trustees, lost his hearing through his military service in the Marine Corps

To Our Veterans
Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Veterans Day honors and thanks all military personnel who served the United States in all wars, particularly living veterans. HLAA joins the tradition and says thank you to all our members who are veterans.

If you are not a member of HLAA, join now. You will receive six issues of our award-winning magazine. Veterans who join for the first time receive a complimentary digital membership.

Read what HLAA has done for you and why your support is needed to continue our work. Each time this year, we begin our year-end appeal for the annual fund. Put your donation to work now by giving online. We truly appreciate it.
